Fees and Billing

Wolfe Public Relations bills at a competitive, hourly rate for most services, including writing, media relations training, planning, consulting, press list development and press release distribution services. Weekend, evening and crisis PR that requires immediate assistance due to an unplanned but urgent or breaking news story is billed at a higher rate. A brief initial phone call or half-hour meeting is provided at no cost; subsequent planning, proposals and consulting is billed. Binding estimates, unfortunately, are not provided at Wolfe PR, but a range of costs is given for project PR work.

A retainer is required upon being hired, which is usually half of the estimated cost of the annual program. A letter of agreement and a 45-day cancellation notice are also required. Expenses such as printing, postage, PR Newswire placements, videotapes of news coverage, clipping services and other costs, are usually billed directly to the client to avoid mark-up. PR campaigns and services begin at about $1,200 a month.
