As former reporters, Beryl and Jason Wolfe take a strategic, journalistic approach to PR, highlighting their clients' strengths and successes by using facts, statistics and meaningful statements vs. promotional language. Their backgrounds as journalists allow them to make sound judgments on what is newsworthy and what is best not promoted through the news media. This has set them apart from others who take a more promotional approach to public relations and has enabled them to build credibility with the media.

Before starting the business in February of 1993, Beryl Wolfe was a PR account supervisor for a major New England ad agency and a copywriter and PR director for a public affairs agency in Tucson, Arizona. She also served a press aide to Rep. Morris K. Udall, D-Ariz. Before going into PR, Ms. Wolfe was a daily newspaper reporter in Virginia, Arizona and Venezuela. She is a native of Washington, D.C., and graduated from the University of Arizona in 1976. Fluent in Spanish, she studied in Mexico and lived and worked in Venezuela and Spain in the 1980s.

Jason Wolfe joined the firm as a principal in February of 1999 after more than 12 years writing for daily newspapers. He received numerous regional writing and reporting awards during his tenures at the Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram and the Lewiston Sun Journal. He is a journalism graduate of the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, and served as a Pulliam Fellow at the Indianapolis Star.

Present clients of Wolfe PR include TD Banknorth, TD Banknorth Beach to Beacon 10K, Bank of the West, Bernstein Shur, Breakaway Adventures, the Heart of Frida Collection, Cocinar Mexicano, Tico Travel, Martin's Point Health Care, Camp Sunshine, Ram, KGI and project clients in the area of public affairs and community relations. Short-term public affairs clients have included initiative campaigns such as school bond elections, referendum issues and ordinance changes. Ms. Wolfe also assisted the White House in advance work for Maine visits by First Lady Barbara Bush and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton.
